Curriculum

Ruby results presentation (1—2 hours)

Ruby reports provide clear, narrative text and stunning visuals to illustrate the results of curricular studies. However, a presentation to a wider audience is often desired. In this presentation, the results of alignnment to standards, cognitive rigor, and any other data points chosen by the client are presented and discussed. Future goals are also targeted.

Cognitive rigor workshop (2—4 hours)

Bloom' Taxonomy and depth of knowledge are common meaures of cogntive rigor. Teachers often attend countless presentations that introduce the two concepts. This workshop teaches participants methods for incorporating questions and activities that align to higher levels of cogntive rigor into lesson plans.

Lesson planning workshop (2—6 hours)

Teachers often find the preparation of standards-based lessons the most difficult job of all. Sometimes a haphazard method of lesson planning is the culprit. This workshop teaches participants a systematic means of creating direct-instruction lesson plans from scratch and in the least amount of time.

In this presentation, the results of academic engagement time (time-on-task), research-based teaching strategies, and any other data points chosen by the client are presented and discussed. Questioning strategies workshop (2—4 hours)

Proper questioning strategies are crucial for increasing student engagement, moderating the pace of lessons, and lowering classroom misbehavior. This workshop presents a systematic method for questioning student that raises the cognitive rigor of lessons and makes life a lot easier on teachers.

Communication (ELL) strategies workshop (2—4 hours)

Communication strategies benefit all learners, not just those new to the English language. Combining a host of techniques gleaned from research, this workshop presents a systematic method for enhancing the communication between teachers and students.
